Summer Flea Market Checklist

Everything to pack before you pick!

A good flea market day starts before you ever pull into the parking lot. Here’s a simple checklist to help you shop smarter, stay comfortable, and get those treasures home safely.

The Flea Market Essentials...
☐ Phone with a full battery charge
☐ Phone charger
☐ Extra battery pack
☐ Wagon
☐ Extra tote bags
☐ Comfortable shoes
☐ Cooler with water
☐ Cold rags for staying cool
☐ Sunscreen
☐ Umbrella
☐ Lightweight jacket
☐ Bug spray
☐ Snacks

For Measuring, Testing & Securing Finds
☐ Measuring tape
☐ Bungee cords
☐ Tie downs
☐ Ratchet straps
☐ Bubble wrap for fragile items and padding
☐ Moving blankets
☐ Two AA batteries
☐ Three AAA batteries
AA and AAA batteries are great to have on hand for testing things like clocks, battery-operated candles, small lamps, and other little treasures before you buy.

For Bigger Finds
☐ Sold stickers with your phone number
These are perfect for larger items you may need to come back and pick up later. Write your name and phone number clearly, place the sticker where the vendor can see it, and take a quick photo of the item and booth location.

One Important Tip
Always ask the vendor how long they expect to stay at the market so you know your pickup time frame. It saves stress later and helps make sure your piece doesn’t accidentally get moved, packed up, or left behind.

Final Flea Market Reminder
Dress for the weather, bring more bags than you think you need, and never underestimate the power of good shoes and cold water. The best finds usually happen when you’re prepared enough to keep going!
